Why a Doberman?
I am guessing that there are a few people who are curious about whose idea it was to adopt a Doberman, especially given our past dogs were of the Boston Terrier variety. Did you know that the Doberman breed was specifically created/bred to protect YOU? Not to go get the animal you shot, not to protect your livestock, or your property, and they were not made to hunt. No. Their primary purpose is to keep their person safe. They are also the 5th ranking dog in intelligence and speed. They can live up to 13 years. When I started working from home, I wanted a dog more suited to protecting me while I worked at home. Yes, I have a gun or two that I know how to use, however, my ability to physically RUN is no longer possible due to Ehlers Danlos (hyper mobility) my connective tissue is all stretched out in my knees.
