Goodbye Frank

Greetings from Land of Osbourne headquarters with a news update! Recently, John hit a dead deer on 35 on his way to work. The damage to the car was primarily to the drivetrain. It took a while for the insurance company to do their thing, but we got the news yesterday afternoon that the damage to Frank was too significant for a repair to make sense.  Frank, our 2013 Ford Focus was bought as a lease return in 2016, and it had only 26,000 miles. Frank now has just under 210,000 miles. This car gets 42 miles to the gallon at least.  Frank was a great car and I’m sad it turned out like this.  Thank you Frank 💙

My Love

I’m unapologetically a husbands girl when I’m sad - I want my husband  if I’m anxious - I need him next to me  stressed out - he’s my calm if I’m sick - he's the one taking care of me proud moment to celebrate - he's my #1 cheerleader here on this earth, he’s my bestfriend, my security blanket, and my home.  I will never not need him by my side 💜

Lack of keyboard

Sorry folks for the lack of updates friends, While I DO own a laptop, I purchased it refurbished in 2012. So, as you can imagine, it’s slow. The only method I have currently for internet is my iPad.  Yes, I work from home on a company supplied laptop, but I’m not using that for updating my blog. I’ll update soon!

Vehicles of Osbourne

I am going to give you a brief overview of the vehicles my husband John and I own. (in no specific order) 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Firehawk - less than 10,000 miles, 100% original. Manual transmission.  Obviously, we don't drive this car often, as we had it built to our specifications, and to be honest? I don't want to drive it and be responsible for it should I smack it up or something. Awesome car though.  Build # 885. 1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 DRM 450 - (what does all that mean?)  The car is FAST. 450 hp at the rear wheel. We named this car Christine. Yes. After the movie. (car is red! car is fast! car has an attitude!). Honestly, I don't drive this car often for a variety of reasons. #1 - the tires. Massive racing tires. They're like $1000 for a pair. They are the tires that came with the car when we bought it in around 2003.  Christine has around 53,000 orig miles, and I know at some point the car was modified a second time by Doug Rippie Motorsports.  G...

Why a Doberman?

I am guessing that there are a few people who are curious about whose idea it was to adopt a Doberman, especially given our past dogs were of the Boston Terrier variety.  Did you know that the Doberman breed was specifically created/bred to protect YOU?  Not to go get the animal you shot, not to protect your livestock, or your property, and they were not made to hunt. No. Their primary purpose is to keep their person safe.  They are also the 5th ranking dog in intelligence and speed.  They can live up to 13 years.  When I started working from home, I wanted a dog more suited to protecting me while I worked at home. Yes, I have a gun or two that I know how to use, however, my ability to physically RUN is no longer possible due to Ehlers Danlos (hyper mobility) my connective tissue is all stretched out in my knees. My knees can and do partially dislocate from time to time, high impact type things are a guaranteed way to make my knees fail.  So, that is ...
